The Role:

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving event sales at the venue for the corporate and social markets. The Sales Manager will book events from incoming leads while prospecting for new business through networking, cold calls, office visits and other outbound sales strategies. An emphasis will be placed on meeting and exceeding sales goals while hitting other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs.) This position will deliver outstanding guest service to clients through every step of the sales cycle, while also building relationships in the local community to help grow the Puttshack brand.

Reports to: Senior Sales Manager

What You'll Do:

  • Bring your 'A' Game to work every day to drive revenue by meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Own the fun by demonstrating a passion for the social entertainment industry and delivering a world-class event experience to our guests.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments, including Sales, Operations, Event Ambassadors, Culinary and Game Technology
  • Respond to all incoming leads by end of day and follow up through multiple touchpoints
  • Complete all event related tasks in CRM by end of day
  • Work with clients through all steps of the sales cycle, including prospecting, sending proposals, setting up site tours, generating contracts, processing payments, detailing BEOs, getting guarantees, greeting clients at event and following up after event conclusion
  • Actively prospect for new business through cold calling, site tours, office visits, trade shows, social media, local marketing events and networking events
  • Attend networking events to build relationships in the local business community and help grow the Puttshack brand
  • Build relationships with hotels, DMCs, CVBs and Chambers of Commerce for referrals
  • Work closely with Senior Sales Manager prior to opening to perform competitive market analysis and identify associations to join to drive sales and establish Puttshack in the local community
  • Make sure all events are detailed correctly on BEO and attend weekly BEO meetings to ensure flawless execution of events
  • Review post event survey and follow up with client if necessary
  • Attend weekly manager meetings
  • Assist Senior Sales Manager with Quarterly Strategic Plan and Annual Sales Budget

Who You Are:

  • Prior experience as a Sales Manager in a high volume ($2M annual event revenue) restaurant, hotel, or entertainment environment
  • Prefer 3 Years of B2B and/or B2C sales experience
  • Overall knowledge of the local area businesses and existing client base
  • Relentless, but intentional, spirit of innovation
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to go above and beyond, demonstrating meaningful care in everything you do
  • A high level of emotional intelligence and overall self-awareness
  • Ability to work in a professional environment under stress
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and One Drive, experience with Tripleseat a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs
